ENGLISH FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

English for Mechanical Engineering is designed for students to learn English dexterously. Adapting Merdeka Belajar curriculum, this book serves as an additional and complementary to the readily available book for students in grade 10 of mechanical engineering. This book is designed to support students’ autonomy and automaticity in generating learning by allowing them to have guided individual learning that can be done outside of the classroom. This can help students to build up knowledge at their own pace in advance. In addition, the design also facilitates students to be involved in collaborative and cooperative learning which will encourage the development of their social skills. Beside that, the design also allows students to train their self-awareness by considering of their own learning progress through the reflection section at the end of each chapter. This book covers four English skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It contains materials of basic English that are divided into 8 units. This book also contains a vocabulary section and audio materials that will be integrated into the barcode so the students can scan the barcode and listen to the conversation. We hope that this book can help the students to learn English better and hopefully this book can give a contribution to expanding English language teaching and learning.
